Maplewood High School Football

Ring of Honor Requirements

 

STUDENT-ATHLETE:

Any football player who distinguished himself in the field of competitive athletics while a student at Maplewood High School.

1. Eligible 10 years after graduation from Maplewood.

2. Must have competed and excelled in high school, college, professional or national competition either individually or with a team.

3. Exemplified sportsmanship, leadership, citizenship and teamwork as a member of his respective team.

4. Must have been in good standing in his sport at Maplewood, college or professionally and a productive member of his local community.

 

FOOTBALL COACH:

Any football coach with at least five years of service at Maplewood High School and 15 years of coaching experience. The nominee must be inactive for ten (10) academic yeasr before nomination to be eligible for consideration. Criteria consideration should be based on accomplishments that merit statewide recognition as well as significant contributions to the football program at Maplewood High School.

 

FOOTBALL CONTRIBUTOR (Administrators, Athletic Administrators, Volunteers, Boosters, and Fans):

An individual who has made outstanding contributions to the football program at Maplewood High School other than coaching and playing.

 

FOOTBALL LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT:

Any person who competed and lettered in football while at Maplewood High School and who, after graduation, has made a substantial and meaningful impact on the local, state, national, or global level is eligible for nomination. This category should be reserved for those who have made a lasting impact in their chosen field.

 

FOOTBALL TEAM:

Any team that had outstanding achievements. These achievements include factors such as won-loss record, district/region championship, playoff wins, bowl wins, state championship, significant upset wins, or other evidence of outstanding team play.
